Mataram, Dipantara.com – Ministry of Tourism Republic of Indonesia supports the development of halal tourism in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). The support is in the form of technical guidance on Ramadan tour package. The guidance was held at Hotel Lombok Astoria, 30-31 May 2018. On the occasion, representatives of NTB’s tourism industry players, such as PHRI, ASITA, INCCA, HPI, GenPI and tourism journalists.

Present as a speaker: Assistant Deputy (Asdep) Marketing I Regional III Ministry of Tourism Indonesia Muh. Ricky Fauziyani, Wisnu Budi Sulaeman, Tourism Polytechnic (Poltekpar) Lombok Farid Said, and Chairman of Indonesia Ticket Association (Astindo) NTB Awanadhi Aswinabawa.

Head of Tourism Department of NTB, Lalu Mohammad Faozal stated, this activity is a series of Pesona Khazanah Ramadhan which is titled by NTB Government and NTB Tourism Office. According to him, this guidance has the intention to equip the actors NTB tourism industry in preparing the program in the month of Ramadhan. The goal is to attract tourists to come to the island of Lombok, NTB. Because in Ramadhan usually, people are reluctant to travel.
“This is a breakthrough to bring tourists to Lombok during the month of Ramadhan,” said Lalu Faozal.

Faozal said, when tourists come to Lombok in Ramadhan, they are not confused to set the schedule of the trip. Because, already offered tour packages during Ramadhan by travel agents. Faozal rate, the preparation of tour packages program in Ramadhan is very necessary. Especially in order to reinforce Lombok’s branding as Halal Destination and Honeymoon Destination.

Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia Arief Yahya, supports this activity because as a Halal Destination world, branding must continue to be done. To that end, the attractions must be well prepared.

“The enchantment of Ramadhan tourism will appeal to tourists and be a perfect medium for introducing tourists with Ramadhan-like attractions, culinary tours, traditional arts, to special events held during the fasting month,” he said.
